The ways two Day Masters meet
Natural pair (천간합). Five pairs of stems “combine” in saju — the classic sign of an easy pull between two people.
Nurturing pair (상생). One element feeds the other: Wood feeds Fire, Fire makes Earth, Earth bears Metal, Metal carries Water and Water feeds Wood. Warm and supportive.
Mirror and same element. The same Day Master, or the same element in the other polarity — quick understanding, and a touch of friendly rivalry.
Spark pair (천간충). Opposite stems that clash — lively and stretching rather than bad.
Shaping pair (상극). One element controls the other: Wood parts Earth, Earth dams Water, Water cools Fire, Fire melts Metal and Metal cuts Wood. One gives structure, the other is challenged to grow.

Is a Day Master clash bad?
